Streamlining Citizenship for Deported or Inadmissible Noncitizen Veterans.

This Act aims to simplify the naturalization process for noncitizen veterans who were previously removed from the U.S. or are currently inadmissible. Essential steps, including the citizenship test, biometric collection, and the Oath of Allegiance, will now be available at U.S. embassies, consulates, or ports of entry abroad. This change removes significant logistical barriers, allowing veterans who served the U.S. to finalize their path to full citizenship.
Key points
Veterans who were removed from the U.S. can now take the naturalization exam and Oath of Allegiance at U.S. embassies or consulates overseas.
Biometric collection (fingerprints, photos) required for background checks will also be made available at U.S. facilities outside the country.
