This Act aims to empower citizens to direct their future medical care by launching a national education campaign and improving healthcare provider training on end-of-life issues. It permanently expands the use of telehealth for advance care planning under Medicare, ensuring beneficiaries can easily document their wishes regardless of location. The law also initiates studies to standardize advance directive documents nationwide.
