Mandatory Voter Notification for Polling Place Location Changes.

This law establishes new minimum requirements for states regarding informing citizens about changes to their assigned federal election polling place. If your voting location is moved, the state must notify you of the new address at least 7 days before Election Day. If the change is made later, and you arrive at the old location, election officials must make reasonable efforts to ensure you can still cast your ballot.
Key points
States must notify voters of a new polling place location at least 7 days before a federal election if their assigned location has changed.
If a last-minute change occurs and the voter appears at the previous location, the state must make every reasonable effort to enable them to vote.
These rules apply to all federal elections held on or after January 1, 2026.
