Restricting Federal Housing and Community Aid to Lawfully Present Individuals Only.

This bill imposes strict limitations on the use of federal Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). These funds are prohibited from assisting individuals who are neither U.S. nationals nor lawful permanent residents. Furthermore, local governments that use any of their own resources to provide housing or community development assistance to undocumented individuals risk losing all access to these federal grants.
Key points
Federal CDBG funds cannot be used to provide assistance to individuals who lack lawful permanent residency status in the U.S.
Local governments may lose all CDBG funding if they operate any housing or community development program assisting persons not lawfully present.
