Enhanced Border Inspections to Combat Cartels: Targeting Outbound Smuggling

This bill requires the Secretary of Homeland Security to enhance capabilities for outbound inspections at the southern land border. It mandates the hiring of new personnel and the procurement of equipment to inspect persons and conveyances traveling from the United States to Mexico. By March 2027, the Secretary must ensure, to the extent practicable, that at least 10% of all conveyances leaving the U.S. for Mexico are inspected.
