Federal Education Funds Go Directly to Parents for School Choice.

This Act terminates most existing federal education programs and replaces them with School Freedom Accounts (SFAs). Parents gain direct control over federal education funding, allowing them to use the money for private school tuition, homeschooling materials, tutoring, or to allocate the funds to their chosen public school. Unused funds can be saved tax-free for future college or vocational training.
Key points
All federal elementary and secondary education funds are deposited into individual School Freedom Accounts controlled by parents, replacing most existing programs.
Parents choose whether to use the funds for non-public education expenses (tuition, materials, tutoring) or disburse them to a public school.
Unspent SFA funds roll over and can be converted into tax-free savings for higher education or career training until the student reaches age 30.
