Restrictions on Selling US Strategic Petroleum Reserve Oil.

This law introduces new rules for selling oil from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to enhance national energy and political security. Oil sold at auction cannot be exported to countries designated as violating religious freedom. Furthermore, state-owned entities that have purchased oil from countries under US sanctions will be barred from bidding on SPR reserves.
Key points
Oil from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve cannot be exported to countries designated as violating religious freedom ("countries of particular concern").
State-owned entities that have purchased oil from sanctioned countries are ineligible to bid in SPR auctions.
The goal is to protect US energy reserves and prevent them from benefiting entities supporting sanctioned regimes.
