This Act establishes a comprehensive US partnership with democratic nations in the Western Hemisphere to boost regional stability, economic growth, and security. For citizens, this means increased efforts to dismantle transnational crime and drug networks, support for more transparent governance and anti-corruption measures, and collaborative efforts aimed at improving reliable electricity access and digital infrastructure. The Act generally excludes Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela from these partnership programs.
