Expanding VA Burial Allowance for Veterans Receiving Hospice Care at Home.

This bill amends title 38 to provide a burial and funeral allowance for certain veterans. This benefit applies to veterans who die at home or in other settings while receiving VA hospice care, provided that such care was directly preceded by VA hospital or nursing home care. The amendments take effect as if included in the enactment of the Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020.
