Easier Student Loan Forgiveness for Past Public Service Workers

This bill simplifies access to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program for individuals who have worked in public service. It removes the requirement that the borrower must be currently employed in a qualifying public service job when applying for forgiveness. This ensures that workers who completed their required 10 years of service can receive financial relief even if they have since changed careers.
