Full Retirement Pay and Disability Compensation for Disabled Veterans.

This bill removes financial restrictions for retired service members with service-connected disabilities. Veterans will now be able to receive both their full military retired pay and their full disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) simultaneously, significantly increasing their monthly income. These changes are scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2024.
Key points
End of Offset: Military retirees with disabilities will no longer have their retired pay reduced by the amount of their VA disability compensation.
Concurrent Payment: Allows for the simultaneous receipt of full retirement pay for years of service and full disability compensation.
