Expanded Compensation and Extended Deadline for Uranium Miners and Workers.

This bill expands the list of diseases and states eligible for compensation for individuals who worked in uranium mining and transport between 1942 and 1978. It also extends the deadline for filing radiation exposure claims by four years. To fund these payments, $475 million is transferred from unspent COVID-19 response funds.
