Continuing VET TEC: High-Tech Job Training and Benefits for Veterans.

This law extends and formalizes the VET TEC program, offering eligible veterans the opportunity to enroll in short, intensive high-technology training programs (like coding or data analysis). The program provides educational assistance and a housing stipend, with a unique performance-based payment system that ensures training providers are paid fully only if graduates secure employment in the tech field. Enrollment in VET TEC uses up existing GI Bill educational entitlement.
Key points
Provides access to short-term (6-28 weeks) high-tech training programs for eligible veterans, limited to 6,000 participants annually.
Funding covers tuition and a housing stipend, but enrollment uses up existing GI Bill educational entitlement.
Training providers receive 50% of tuition only if the graduate finds employment in the field of study within 180 days of completion (success-based payment).
The authority to run this program is extended until September 30, 2028.
