Ban on M-44 Cyanide Bombs on Public Lands to Enhance Safety.

This law aims to significantly increase the safety of citizens and their pets while using federal lands, such as national parks and forests. It establishes a complete prohibition on the use of M-44 devices, commonly known as cyanide bombs, which contain highly toxic sodium cyanide. All existing devices must be removed from public lands within 30 days of the law's enactment, eliminating the risk of accidental poisoning.
Key points
Safety on public lands is greatly improved by eliminating the risk of accidental exposure to sodium cyanide, which is extremely dangerous to humans and animals.
The ban protects family pets and wildlife (including endangered species) that are frequently killed as non-target victims of these devices.
