Job Protection Act: FMLA Eligibility Expanded to 90 Days and Small Businesses.

This bill significantly expands access to job-protected leave (such as parental or medical leave) for millions of American workers. It reduces the minimum employment requirement from one year to just 90 days. Crucially, the requirement to provide this leave now applies to virtually all employers, including small businesses with only one employee, instead of only those with 50 or more.
Key points
Job-protected leave (FMLA) becomes available after only 90 days of employment, down from the previous requirement of 12 months and 1,250 hours.
Employer coverage is expanded to include all businesses with 1 or more employees, ensuring protection for workers in small companies.
These changes apply to private sector, federal, presidential, and congressional employees.
