Tule River Tribe Water Rights Settlement: Funding, Land, and Certainty.
This Act ratifies a settlement granting the Tule River Tribe a reserved water right of 5,828 acre-feet per year from the South Fork Tule River. It authorizes $568 million for water infrastructure projects and transfers over 11,000 acres of federal land into trust for the Tribe. In return, the Tribe waives all past claims against the US and other entities related to water rights disputes, providing legal certainty for all water users.
