Federal Ban on Non-Consensual Deepfakes: New Civil and Criminal Penalties.

This bill establishes strong federal civil and criminal penalties for the non-consensual creation and sharing of intimate digital depictions (deepfakes). Citizens who are victims of such disclosures gain the right to sue for substantial damages, including a minimum of $150,000, plus legal fees.
