Lowering Student Enrollment Threshold to Preserve JROTC Programs in Schools.

This Act lowers the minimum number of students required for schools to maintain or establish a Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program. This change ensures that smaller schools or those with lower participation rates can continue offering these valuable programs, providing students with access to leadership and personal development activities. Consequently, more students in smaller communities will have the opportunity to participate in military and civic training.
Key points
The minimum required student enrollment for a JROTC program is reduced from 100 to 50.
This change increases the availability of JROTC programs, especially in smaller schools and rural communities.
Students gain greater opportunities to participate in activities that develop leadership skills and discipline.
