Mandatory disclosure of foreign ownership and data storage in internet applications.

This Act requires providers of websites and mobile applications to disclose to users whether the service is wholly or partially owned by a foreign adversary country or an affiliated entity. Citizens will gain the right to know if their data is stored and maintained in such a country, enhancing their awareness of security and privacy risks. Failure to disclose or providing false information will be treated as an unfair trade practice, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
