Permanent Ban on Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Insurance Disclosure.

This bill establishes a permanent, nationwide prohibition on using federal taxpayer funds to pay for abortions or health plans that cover them, except in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother. Citizens purchasing health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces will lose federal subsidies (tax credits) for plans that include abortion coverage. Insurers must also clearly disclose the extent of abortion coverage and separately identify any specific premium surcharge for that service.
Key points
Federal funds are permanently prohibited from being used for abortions or health plans covering them, with exceptions for rape, incest, or life endangerment.
ACA subsidies (premium tax credits) cannot be used for health plans that cover abortions beyond the specified exceptions.
Health plans must prominently disclose abortion coverage details and separately list any associated premium surcharges.
