DoD Travel Funds Ban for Abortion Access and Related Expenses.

This bill seeks to terminate the Department of Defense policy that provided travel and transportation allowances for service members and their dependents seeking abortion services. It explicitly prohibits the use of military funds for travel, lodging, and meals related to obtaining an abortion or abortion-related services. Exceptions are maintained only for cases of rape, incest, or when the mother's life is endangered.
Key points
Military funds will no longer cover travel expenses (transportation, lodging, meals) for service members and their dependents seeking abortion services, increasing personal costs.
Service members are prohibited from using medical convalescent leave or administrative absences for travel to obtain an abortion, except in statutory exception cases.
Limited access to abortion due to duty location will not be considered an 'extraordinary circumstance' justifying special travel allowances.
