National Risk Management: Strengthening Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience

This Act establishes a recurring national risk management cycle to protect vital government and private sector functions whose disruption would severely impact national security, economic stability, or public health and safety. It mandates the Department of Homeland Security to regularly identify and assess cyber and physical threats to critical infrastructure, ensuring greater stability and security of essential services used by citizens daily. Based on these assessments, the President must develop a National Critical Infrastructure Resilience Strategy to prevent major crises and failures.
