Caribbean Security Initiative: Funding Crime Fight, Justice, and Disaster Resilience

This Act authorizes $82 million annually for the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI) for fiscal years 2023 through 2027. The goal is to enhance citizen safety, combat transnational criminal organizations and gangs, and strengthen local justice and law enforcement systems in beneficiary countries. The initiative aims to improve security, combat corruption, and increase the security sector's resilience to natural disasters.
