Increased Transparency for Tennessee Valley Authority Meetings

This new law enhances the transparency of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) by requiring most of their meetings to be open to the public. Citizens will have easier access to information about decisions made by the TVA, potentially increasing awareness regarding energy supply and other public services in the region.
Key points
All deliberations of the TVA board, including unscheduled ones, will be open to the public.
Meeting information will be published on the TVA website, making it easier to access.
TVA will be required to make more information about its operations publicly available.
Exceptions to public disclosure apply only to power availability requests and contract negotiations that could harm TVA's competitive position.
