Environmental Justice: New Office and Community Support

This act establishes an Office of Environmental Justice within the Department of Justice to protect communities from pollution and unequal access to a healthy environment. Citizens will have greater opportunities to participate in environmental decisions and access legal support. Grants are also provided for local authorities to enforce environmental regulations.
