Defending Ukraine's Territorial Integrity Act: Support and Prohibitions

This act confirms that the United States does not recognize Russian claims to any part of Ukraine, including Crimea and other occupied regions. It means the U.S. government will not financially support countries that recognize these claims or support Russian actions. This aims to strengthen U.S. policy towards Ukraine and may affect relations with other nations.
Key points
The U.S. does not recognize Russian control over any Ukrainian territory, including Crimea and the Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The U.S. government will not provide financial assistance to countries that recognize the independence of or establish diplomatic relations with occupied regions of Ukraine.
The prohibition on assistance also applies to countries that actively support Russian actions in Ukraine.
The Secretary of State can waive the assistance prohibition if deemed in the national interest of the U.S.
