Expanded Transport Aid for Rural Veterans' Healthcare Access

This act broadens the program assisting veterans with transportation to healthcare, especially for those in rural areas. It increases available funds and includes new organizations that can help veterans with transport.
Key points
More veterans from rural areas will be able to receive transportation assistance to medical facilities.
The maximum grant amount for transportation increases to $60,000, and up to $80,000 if a vehicle compliant with disability requirements needs to be purchased.
County veterans service organizations and Tribal organizations can now also apply for these grants, increasing access to aid.
Program funding will no longer be capped at a fixed amount, allowing for more flexible allocation of resources based on needs.
