SEC Leasing Authority Revocation and Federal Real Estate Report

This Act amends the leasing authority of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The SEC loses its independent authority to lease new general purpose office space; this task will now be handled by the Administrator (GSA). Additionally, the Act requires the Comptroller General to update a report regarding federal entities that possess independent leasing authority.
Key points
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is prohibited from independently leasing new general purpose office space.
Existing leases entered into by the SEC before the enactment of the Act remain valid.
The Comptroller General is required to submit a report updating information on federal entities with independent leasing authority.
