Increased Benefits for Disabled Veterans

This act aims to increase financial support for retired service members with disabilities. It allows more veterans to receive both their military retired pay and disability compensation concurrently, improving their financial well-being.
Key points
Veterans with service-connected disabilities rated less than 50% will be able to receive both retired pay and disability compensation.
Disabled retirees with less than 20 years of service will also become eligible for concurrent receipt of both benefits.
The changes will take effect on the first day of the first month after the act's enactment, applying to payments from that date.
