Cemetery Land Transfers: Easier Access for Local Communities
This new law simplifies the transfer of federal lands, currently or previously used as cemeteries, to local communities, Indian Tribes, and other eligible entities. This makes managing these burial sites easier and can waive acquisition costs, benefiting the preservation of important community memorial places.
