Expedited Border Infrastructure Repairs: Waiving Regulations for Security
This law requires the Department of Homeland Security to conduct a survey of the southern border infrastructure every two years. If deficiencies are found, the Secretary must take necessary action to correct them in an expedited manner. A major consequence is granting the Secretary the power to waive all legal requirements, including environmental regulations, to speed up the correction of these deficiencies.
