Birthright Citizenship Changes: New Rules for US-Born Children.

This bill modifies the rules for granting U.S. citizenship to children born in the United States. Moving forward, for a child born in the U.S. to receive citizenship, at least one parent must be a citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or serving in the U.S. armed forces. These changes will not affect the status of individuals born before the enactment of this act.
Key points
Children born in the U.S. will only receive citizenship if one parent is a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or military member.
The new rules apply only to individuals born after the act's effective date, not changing the status of those born earlier.
