US Sanctions Against Foreign Human Rights Abusers of LGBTQI Individuals.
This Act mandates sanctions against foreign officials and individuals responsible for torture, arbitrary detention, or other severe human rights violations targeting LGBTQI persons globally. Individuals placed on this list will be banned from entering the United States, and any existing visas will be revoked immediately. The law also requires the State Department to enhance monitoring and reporting on violence and discrimination against LGBTQI individuals in foreign countries.
