Reestablishing Presidential Fitness Test and New Council on Sports and Nutrition
This Act establishes the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition to advise the President on national health and physical activity strategies. The primary goal is to develop plans for reestablishing the Presidential Fitness Test in schools as the main assessment tool for youth. This initiative aims to combat childhood obesity, chronic diseases, and sedentary lifestyles, ultimately enhancing the future readiness of the U.S. workforce and military.
