Tax Relief for Military Drone Crews Operating in Combat Zones.

This bill amends tax laws to directly benefit military personnel involved in drone operations. Compensation received by servicemembers for operating remotely piloted aircraft or providing direct support (intelligence, targeting, command and control) for these operations in a combat zone will be excluded from federal gross income. This provides a specific financial advantage (tax exemption) for military personnel performing these duties.
Key points
Extends the combat zone compensation tax exclusion to include pay for operating military drones in combat zones.
The exclusion also covers personnel providing direct support, such as intelligence or targeting, certified by the Secretary of Defense.
This tax relief applies to compensation received for active service periods starting after the law is enacted.
