Permanent Ban on Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Insurance Disclosure.

This law establishes a permanent prohibition on using federal taxpayer funds to pay for most abortions or health insurance plans that cover them. Citizens purchasing health plans through the ACA marketplace will lose federal subsidies if their chosen plan covers non-excepted abortions. The law also mandates clear disclosure by insurers regarding the extent of abortion coverage and any specific premium surcharges related to it.
Key points
Federal funds, including ACA tax credits and subsidies, cannot be used to pay for abortions or health plans that include abortion coverage.
Exceptions apply for abortions resulting from rape, incest, or when necessary to save the life of the mother.
Insurers must clearly disclose if a plan covers abortion, and any specific premium surcharge for this coverage must be shown separately.
