Airspace Location and Enhanced Risk Transparency Act of 2026 (ALERT Act)

The Act aims to improve safety by requiring certain aircraft to be equipped with collision mitigation technologies (ACAS-Xa, ACAS-Xr). It also introduces updates to air traffic control procedures, including timely post-incident drug and alcohol testing, and rules for cooperation with Department of Defense aviation to ensure safe separation in the airspace.
