Clean Slate through Consolidation Act: Removing student loan default records

This bill helps borrowers clear their credit history after falling behind on federal student loan payments. Once a defaulted loan is discharged by obtaining a Federal Direct Consolidation Loan, the record of that default will be removed from credit reports.
