Protecting Veterans' Rights: No Disability Data to NICS

This bill aims to stop the transmission of personal information of veterans receiving service-connected disability benefits to the national instant criminal background check system (NICS). This means that a service-connected disability alone will not be a basis for restricting veterans' gun ownership rights, protecting their privacy and rights. Veterans will not have to worry that their health status will affect their ability to purchase firearms.
Key points
Prohibits transmitting veterans' disability data to the NICS background check system.
Protects veterans' gun ownership rights, regardless of service-connected disability.
Enhances privacy protection for veterans' medical information.
