This act aims to facilitate reintegration into society for individuals who were arrested but not convicted, or convicted of certain non-violent offenses. Key points
Automatic sealing of records for arrests without conviction and certain non-violent marijuana-related offenses after sentence completion.
Option to petition for sealing of other non-violent offense records after completing the sentence and meeting specific criteria.
Sealed information will not appear in most background checks, making it easier to find employment and housing.
