Veterans' Disability and Survivor Benefits Increase Effective December 2025.

This law mandates a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for disability compensation paid to veterans and dependency and indemnity compensation (DIC) paid to their survivors. Effective December 1, 2025, these payments will increase by the same percentage as the Social Security COLA. This ensures that the financial support provided to disabled veterans and their families keeps pace with inflation.
Key points
All rates of compensation for service-connected disabilities will be increased.
Survivor benefits (Dependency and Indemnity Compensation - DIC) for spouses and children will also rise.
The increase is an automatic cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), taking effect on December 1, 2025.
