Restricting US Visas for Perpetrators of Religious Freedom Violations.

This law establishes strict new immigration rules, banning visas for individuals who have directed, supported, or participated in severe violations of religious freedom abroad. The goal is to reinforce US foreign policy commitment to human rights and religious liberty globally. Furthermore, the State Department must publicly disclose the names of these banned individuals, unless doing so would harm US foreign policy interests.
Key points
Imposes a categorical ban on entry (visa inadmissibility) to the US for foreign officials and others responsible for religious persecution.
The State Department is required to publish the names of banned individuals and the locations where the religious freedom violations occurred on a public website.
The Secretary of State can withhold public disclosure of an individual's identity if it poses adverse foreign policy consequences, reporting such exceptions semiannually to Congress.
