Job Protection Act: Shorter Eligibility Period and Expanded Family Leave Coverage

This Act significantly expands access to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for more employees. The key change is reducing the required employment period from 12 months to just 90 days, allowing newer employees to qualify for leave much faster. Furthermore, the obligation to provide this leave now applies to all employers with one or more employees, instead of only those with 50 or more, extending protection to individuals working in small businesses.
